Ministries
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know, your labor is not in vain." ~1 Corinthians 15:58
Christian Education
Ministry
The Christian Education Ministry of Mitchell Chapel AME Zion Church is designed to promote and supervise the Christian training and development of the church.
Music
Ministry
The music ministry provides worship through which the soul and spirit sings to God the Father, Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in devotion and praise with a song. We also assist the congregation in expressing our personal and communal love, adoration, faith, hope, fears, and emotions.
The Mitchell Chapel Music Ministry consists of five auxiliaries designed to meet the diverse Gospel "musical appetites" for all generations. Those auxiliaries are: The Senior Choir, The Praise Team, The Voices of Praise, The Male Chorus and The Youth Choir.
Multimedia
Ministry
The purpose of the Multimedia Ministry at Mitchell Chapel is to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our visually-driven, ever changing world through the use of technology and media, and to equip other ministries of the church to use digital and electronic media as a worship and outreach tool.

Discipleship Ministry
The discipleship ministry is a process of providing a pathway for spiritual growth and maturity for followers of Jesus. The process begins with taking a spiritual gifts assessment and finding a space in ministry that fits an individual’s gifts and abilities. The process continues through dynamic teaching ranging from foundations of faith, to a four-book study called the [MasterLife] Discipleship Course by Avery T. Willis Jr, and with a number of seminars and special topics. Discipleship occurs within dedicated teams also. Everyone is challenged to connect with a group who will encourage, equip, and engage in service together.
Missions Ministry
Missions Ministry
There are designated missionary groups who organize, plan, and mobilize people for outreach efforts and services. The missionary groups provide supplies for overseas initiatives, as well as, programs in the community and region. Sometimes they are feeding folks at food kitchens, supplying needed items to shelters, collecting warm clothing, sponsoring children’s school and home needs, providing meals, and many other services to the people who are our neighbors.
