About Us
"Not forsaking the assembly of ourselves together, as the manner of some is, but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." -Hebrews 10:25

OUR VISION

WELCOME TO THE MITCHELL CHAPEL MOVEMENT
"Making Mature Disciples Who Make A Meaningful Difference"
Mitchell Chapel is a community of Christian disciples who are engaged in a MOVEMENT of personal and public transformation to live out the reign of God in our region, mission places, and the virtual spaces, our influence will reach. Our church is built on a traditional Methodist foundation but we take a contemporary approach to ministry.

COMPONENT 1
Magnifying the Lord (Psalm 34:3)
“O Magnify the Lord with me, let us exalt His name together”
PURPOSE
To collaborate together to cultivate a passionate spiritual encounter with God and each other using spiritual gifts, creative arts and media to enhance the preaching of God’s Word resulting in an edifying personal and corporate faith experience that promotes spiritual and numerical growth.

COMPONENT 2

Multiplying Disciples (Ephesians 4:12-13) “To prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the Body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ”

PURPOSE
To develop and deploy an intentional discipleship process designed to bring new believers into the faith and place them on a pathway to grow and mature spiritually, and to grow greater capacity in mature disciples to duplicate other disciples of Christ.

COMPONENT 3
Mobilizing Ministries (I Peter 4:10) “Each one should use whatever gift he/she has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms”

Purpose:
To discover the direction of God and engage disciples in meaningful and effective ministries that best match the gifts and abilities of the servant and meet the holistic needs of people.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that God loves all people and hates all sin.
We believe that Jesus Christ died for all people to make possible their salvation from sin through their belief.
We believe that all who repent of their sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ receive the forgiveness of sin.
We believe that all that are accepted as the children of God may receive the inward assurance of the Holy Spirit to that fact.
We believe that all that are made “new creatures” in Christ Jesus are accepted as the children of God.
We believe that all who truly desire to seek it may love God with all their hearts, souls, minds, and strength and their neighbors as themselves.
We believe that a person born of God is consecrated and set apart for service unto God and that the process of growth begins and is followed by degrees of development ever having as its goal entire sanctification and Christian perfection.
We believe that the gift of the Holy Spirit is possible unto all people as a guide, a teacher, and a light.
We believe in the Kingdom of God which means the reign of God in every area of human life and society. This includes seeking to bring about a just society for all people by serving and advocating for the well-being of others to meet their material needs, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
We believe that all who persevere to the end shall be saved but that souls may lapse from grace and become partially corrupt or even fall wholly away from God and be lost forever.
We believe that God is eternal and Jesus is the conqueror of the grave and we, being united by faith, Jesus share His everlasting life.
